Objective: To study the role and clinical significance of helper T cells (TH1, TH2) in patients with cancerous ascites. Methods: The levels of IL-4 and IL-4 in peripheral blood and ascites were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to determine the activity of TH1 and TH2 cells. Results: The activity of THl cells in peripheral blood of patients with cancerous ascites was significantly lower than that of normal people, and the activity of TH2 cells was significantly increased. The activity of TH1 cells in peripheral blood decreased further and the activity of TH2 cells was further increased in patients with ineffective treatment. The function of THl cells in peripheral blood and the function of TH2 cells gradually decreased, and the levels of TH2 cells in treatment-effective group were all close to those in normal control group. CONCLUSION: The activity of peripheral blood helper T cells (TH1, TH2) is of value for the curative effect and prognosis of patients with cancerous ascites.
