广东作为外贸大省,进出口二十多年来一直居全国第一。2000年,广东省进出口总额1701亿美元,同比增长21.2%。其中出口919.2亿美元,增长18.3%,占全国36.9%;进口781.8亿美元,增长24.8%。全省进出口贸易顺差137.4亿美元,贸易结汇顺差109.5亿美元。
As a major foreign trade province, Guangdong has been number one in the country for more than 20 years. In 2000, Guangdong’s total import and export volume reached 170.1 billion U.S. dollars, up 21.2% over the same period of previous year. Among them, the export volume was 91.92 billion U.S. dollars, up 18.3 percent, accounting for 36.9 percent of the national total; and the import was 78.18 billion U.S. dollars, up 24.8 percent. The province’s import and export trade surplus of 137.4 billion US dollars, trade settlement surplus of 10.95 billion US dollars.
