我在《新闻大学》1988年夏季号发表《关于新闻若干问题的哲学思考》以后,卢惠民同志在冬季号发表了与我商榷的《关于新闻和新闻价值定义问题》(简称“卢文”)的文章。卢惠民同志与我商榷的主要之点是:我在文中,列举的全国二十所大学联编的《当代新闻学》关于“新闻就是及时公开传播的非指令性信息”的定义,是否包含着唯物辩证的观点?《当代新闻学》对新闻价值的表述,是否比较恰当?鉴于“卢文”提出了一些值得深思的观点,就有必要对“卢文”的、“商榷”进行再商榷。
