计算机技术推广应用已成为当今中国社会的发展热点,这种热点同样反映在2000年前在上海举办的最后一次体育盛会——第八届全国运动会上。这次八运会采用计算机技术的规模不但超过历届全运会,而且在技术先进性上几乎与当今世界最先进技术同步,更值得一提的是除了赛场、新闻中心等赛事工作利用计算机网络技术外,还首次采用了面向社会公众的多媒体技术,引起了社会各界的热情反应。 此次八运会组委会指定苹果电脑公司的产品为八运会多媒体平台,上海超艺公司负责开发制作,在上海市体委技术部门有关同志的协助支持下,自八运会开幕以来,每天以人机交互的方式向社会公众和新闻机构提供大量的赛事消息,已引起各地体育组织机构的关注。为此本刊记者走访了苹果电脑公司上海办事处负责人王晨杰先生。
