九年义务教育初中语文教材,篇篇都有课前提示。现代文中的教读课文为“预习提示”,自读课文为“自读提示”,参读课文为“每读提示”,文言文则一律称“阅读提示”。这些提示的字数一般在二三百字之间,少则达151字,如《这不是一颗流星》;多则达351字,如《从三到万》。这些提示包容了初中语文知识教学与能力训练的林林总总,大致可以归纳为:(1)简介作家作品。如《有的人》“臧克家,诗人,生于1905年,山东诸城人。主要作品收在六卷本《臧克家文集》里。”(2)交代写作背景及意图。如《俭以养德》“本文写于1959年8月12日,是针对当时有些人开始放弃
