唐代的鞍马画艺术继承了敦煌壁画和北齐至隋代的艺术成就,是中国绘画艺术的精粹。它以唐代强盛的马政和昂扬向上的社会精神以及富足的社会财富为动力,相继表现出英雄主义的气势和享乐主义的安闲,前者的代表画家有曹霸、陈闳、韦偃等,后者的代表画家如韩斡、张萱等,还有那壁画、绢画和雕刻以及唐三彩中的鞍马形象,加上唐代关于鞍马的诗歌,共同奏响了这个时代交响乐中的强音。
The pangu painting in the Tang Dynasty inherited the Dunhuang murals and the artistic achievements of the Northern Qi Dynasty to the Sui Dynasty. It is the essence of Chinese painting art. It is based on the powerful horse politics of the Tang Dynasty and the social spirit of high spirits and wealth of the rich society as the driving force, which successively showed the momentum of heroism and the hedonic ease.
