Organized by the world’s media “2010 Cystine and cysteine 360. Industry Forum ” is about September 27-28, 2010, held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center International Hotel. Cystine is the only amino acid product of all 21 amino acids that is not produced by microbial fermentation or by synthesis. At present, the main raw material for production of cystine is human hair or pig hair extracted by hydrochloric acid hydrolysis. Since the 1950s till now, our country has been the largest cystine producer and exporter in the world. China’s export of cystine production accounts for about 80% to 85% of the international market.
