我国戏曲音乐在结构形式上可分为“联曲体”和“板腔体”两大类。“联曲体”(如陕西的“眉户”、江苏的“昆曲”、江西的赣剧、弋阳腔均属此类)是用若干相对稳定的曲牌互相联结而展开音乐的;“板腔体”则是根据一个基本腔调作多种板眼变化、旋律演化而形成许多不同板式的声腔体系。戏曲史上先有“联曲体”,后有“板腔体”。“板腔体”是在吸收民间音乐和“联曲体”的长处之后出现的。利用板眼变化的结构方法,秦腔在所有梆予系统中可说是一个先
