(一) 震惊世界的“9.11”事件后,国际形势扑朔迷离,美国陈兵阿富汗周边,部署捉拿9.11惨剧的幕后主谋本·拉登。第六届世界武术锦标赛的举办地——亚美尼亚所处的中亚西亚,一时成了“敏感地区”。国际武联的执委们通过通讯表决的方式决定,原定于10月1日在亚美尼亚首都埃里温举行的第六届世界武术锦标赛,不定期延期举行。因为阿富汗与伊朗东界相邻,亚美尼亚与伊朗北界相邻,此时全世界都在猜测战事可能波及的范围。
