这里介绍的是英国剑桥大学联合考试局所拟的物理试题,该试题是为物理程度较高的中学生而设的,试题的难度则稍高于英国中学教学大纲的要求。试题的考试对象是那些准备参加诸如牛津和剑桥大学的公开奖学金考试和入学考试的学生。这些试题偏重于测试学生对物理概念的理解,而不陷入烦琐的运算。题目比较基本,但是相当灵活,并能注意物理学各部分之间的联系。它既能开拓视野,有助于质量评估工作的开展。为了能从中窥见剑桥大学启发式教学之一斑,现选取其中一部分介绍如下,以飨读者。一、测试某一滑轮组时,将挂于钩上的重物提升,用施于绳上的作用力来表示测试结果,得到如下一组数据:
The physics test questions proposed by the Joint Examination Authority of the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom are introduced here. The test questions are designed for students with a high degree of physics. The difficulty of the questions is slightly higher than the requirements of the English secondary school syllabus. The test subjects are students who are preparing to attend public scholarships and entrance exams such as Oxford and Cambridge. These test papers focus on testing students’ understanding of physical concepts without straying into cumbersome calculations. The topics are relatively basic, but they are quite flexible and can pay attention to the links between the various parts of physics. It can not only broaden its horizons, but also help carry out quality assessment work. In order to get a glimpse of one of the heuristic teachings at Cambridge University, a selection of some of them is introduced as follows.
