西林铅锌矿入选矿石中的方铅矿、铁闪锌矿、磁黄铁矿、黄铁矿、黄铜矿共生关系密切,呈粗细粒不均匀嵌布,铁闪锌矿与磁黄铁矿可浮性相近,致使选矿厂技术经济指标不高。针对该矿石特点,开展试验研究,提出了阶段细磨,铅、锌粗精矿再磨,铅、锌、硫依次优先浮选工艺流程和铅、锌浮选的新药剂制度,1986年10月完成工业试验,并成功地用于工业生产,较大幅度地提高了选矿生产指标,经济效益显著。
