抑癌基因ｐ16定位于染色体 9Ｐ2 1,全长 8.5ｋｂ ,由2个内含子和 3个外显子组成。 3个外显子共同编码分子量为 15.84ｋｂ ,,由 148个氨基酸组成的单链多肽- ｐ16蛋白。ｐ16蛋白能与细胞周期素Ｄ1(ｃｙｃｌｉｎＤ1)竞争性结合细胞周期依赖性蛋白激酶 (ＣＤＫ4 )而调节细胞周期。
Tumor suppressor gene p16 located on chromosome 9P2 1, full-length 8.5kb, consists of two introns and three exons. The three exons together encode a single-chain polypeptide consisting of 148 amino acids with a molecular weight of 15.84 kb, the p16 protein. The p16 protein regulates the cell cycle by competitively binding cyclin D1 to cell cycle-dependent protein kinase (CDK4).
