As Japan’s export superpower slowly becomes aging, the downward trend in the competitiveness of Japanese companies has begun to take shape a few years ago. One of the world’s most powerful export engines is losing momentum. For decades, with its strong manufacturing capabilities and export-oriented trade policies, Japan exported large quantities of vehicles, consumer electronics and semiconductor devices to the global market.
