在中国戏曲的天地里,泰勒·汤普森是一位令人意外的明星。这个来自美国的15岁少年虽然只会说简单的汉语,但却能够字正腔圆地演绎中国传统艺术,在美中两国征服了大批观众。目前,他已学会几个著名京剧唱段。京剧是一种有着数百年历史的戏曲艺术,华丽的服装、铿锵的锣钹、宽广的音域和高度程式化的动作都是京剧的特点。泰勒说:“京剧很动听,充满激情。它激发我去更多地了解美国以外的世界。”泰勒从10年前开始学习用汉语唱戏。泰勒的妈妈说,这些中国音乐项目拓宽了他的视野,使他学习了不同的文化。
In the world of Chinese operas, Taylor Thompson is an unexpected star. The 15-year-old from the United States, though speaking only simple Chinese, is able to interpret the traditional Chinese arts in a fluent way and conquer a large audience in the United States and China. At present, he has learned several famous Beijing opera aria. Peking Opera is a drama with hundreds of years of history, gorgeous costumes, sonorous cymbals, wide range and highly stylized movements are characteristics of Beijing Opera. Taylor said: “Peking Opera is very dynamic and full of passion, which inspired me to learn more about the world outside of the United States.” Taylor began to learn to sing in Chinese 10 years ago. Taylor’s mother said that these Chinese music projects broadened his horizons and taught him different cultures.
