一百万年以前,北美洲正处于冰河时期的开端。大片的土地冰封雪盖,宽阔的山谷分布于连绵成群的大小丛林之间。洁净的河流如银蛇蜿蜒,沿着高地草原横亘东方。河流前侧是奇诡莫测的池沼,四周围着漆黑的不毛之地。池沼之中尽是柏油似的半流质沥青,间或会从沼底窜起发出恶臭的细泡。池面积聚着数英寸深的水,水质虽差却可饮用。干旱的天气里,大风吹起的阵阵尘埃铺满池沼,沥青上结了一层薄膜,看上去像一块坚实的平地。
A million years ago, North America was in the beginning of the ice age. Large areas of land frozen snow cover, wide valley distributed in a group of jungle between the size of the cluster. The clean river winds like a silver snake and runs through the highlands past the east. The front of the river is a strange pond, surrounded by dark, barren land. Among the ponds are asphalt-like semi-liquid asphalt, which can emit foul bubbles from the bottom of the marsh. Pool area with a few inches deep water, poor water quality is drinkable. In arid weather, the gust of wind blowing in the wind covered the ponds and a layer of film on the asphalt looks like a solid, flat ground.
