从温州机场传来令人振奋的消息:截至7月31日,该机场今年头七个月已完成旅客吞吐量近150万人次,预计全年将突破250万人次。从1990年7月12日通航至今,温州机场已走过了整整14周年不同寻常的发展历程:共保障进出港航班25.4万架次,完成旅客吞吐量1965.6万人次,货邮吞吐量29.8万吨,上缴国家税利、折旧、建设费5亿多元,是全国同类机场中投资规模最小但发展速度最快、经济效益最好的机场。14年来,温州民航人艰苦奋斗,齐心协办,共同奏响了温州机场发展的华美乐章,“创造了中国民航史上的奇迹”。机场发展的乐章开始就是令人振奋的高潮。通航前6年,机场生产业务量的增长速度之快令人始料未及,仅以旅客吞吐量为例,1990年为6.6万人次,1993年83.3万人次,1996年达到168.4万人次,可以说是“三年一台阶,三年一飞跃”。1998年实现旅客吞吐量近178万人次,跻身全国142个通航机场第19位。
