四川是一个多民族省份,除汉族外,有彝、藏、羌、苗等十三个世居少数民族,少数民族人口占全省人口总数的4.7%,民族地区幅员面积占全省总面积的62.4%;有全国第二大藏区和最大的彝族聚居区,也有全国唯一的羌族聚居地。做好培养选拔少数民族干部工作,不仅事关干部队伍建设全局,而且对西部地区乃至全国的发展与稳定都有着重要影响。各级党委和有关部门都要从国家长治久安和振兴中华民族的高度,从建设有中国特色社会主义和实现现代化的高度,充分认识民族工作和培养选拔少数民族干部的重要性和紧迫性。当前,要把培养选拔少数民族干部这件关系全局,具有战略意义的大事抓紧抓好,主要应在以下六个方面下工夫:要在端正和提高领导干部的思想认识上下功夫。做好少数民族干部培养选拔工作,是加快民族和民族地区的发展、繁荣,深化改革、扩大开放的需要,是加强各
