According to statistics, there are more than 2 million kinds of insects in the world, mainly living in tropical and temperate regions. In the Arctic, due to cold weather and harsh environment, the species of insects is much less, and there are only a few thousand species in total. The main ones are flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches. The strange thing is that in the Arctic, butterflies and moths that are widely distributed in the tropics can be seen, but some insect families that breed in the temperate regions, such as grasshoppers, grasshoppers, crickets, etc., are missing. What is even more puzzling is that ants may be the most numerous, most widely distributed, and most closely organized creatures on Earth, but in the Arctic they are rarely seen. Perhaps because ants are hard-working and unreliable creatures, they are not used to the long and cold winter nights of the North Pole and stay at home for idle life.
