四、社会及其发展条件 生产是人类生活的前提,是人类生存的第一需要,是人类区别于其他生物的根本特征。正是这种生产过程中必然形成的生产关系的总和构成了社会关系,构成了所谓社会。我们是生活在社会之中的,社会又是在自然之中,所以,自然环境无疑是人类社会发展的一个必要条件。自然环境虽然是人类赖以生存和发展的必要条件,但不是决定性的条件,决定性的条件是社会的生产方式。 人口也是社会发展的一个必要条件。人口是生活在特定社会制度,特定地域,特定时期,具有一定数量和质量的人的总称。它是社会存在的前提,是社会发展的基础。 除了自然环境,人口因素之外,文化也是社会发展的一个必要条件。文化是指人类在社会实践过程中所创造的物质财富和精神财富的总和。文化是一种历史现象,每一社会都有与其相适应的文化。文化是人创造的,但它一经产生就会反过来对人发生巨大影响。无论是自然环境,人口,还是文化,都是社会发展中不容忽视的必要条件。但是,在社会发展中起决定作用的,还是社会物质资料的生产方式。它不但决定着社会的物质生活过程和人们的物质关系,还决定着社会的文化和人们的思想,决定着整个社会生活的性质和面貌。 五、人的社会化
