A new study by Harvard University announced at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research found that men with good sleep quality have a lower risk of developing prostate cancer. Men at higher levels of melatonin, a hormone that regulates the body’s circadian clock and sleep, have a 75% lower risk of developing a malignant prostate cancer. Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health studied the sleep patterns of 928 Icelandic men and analyzed their urine samples for melatonin levels.
