我们著名教育家陶行知曾经说过:“千教万教,叫人学真;千学万学,学做真人。”从这句话中,我们体会到了教书育人的真谛。作为英语教师,不仅是传授科学文化知识,更应该在英语课堂上教育我们的学生如何做一个品德高尚的人。我们英语教学,不能只有英语知识的教学,我们的德育,也不能是脱离文化知识的空洞教育,只有把科学文化知识与思想道德教育结合起来,把英语知识的教学、学生英语能力的培养、思想道德的教育一起落实到教学过程中,才能真正地完成教学任务,达到教书育人的目的。 Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, once said: “Thousands of people teach thousands of religions and teach others what they really want; thousands of thousands of people learn how to be real people.” From these words, we realize the true meaning of teaching and educating people. As an English teacher, not only imparting knowledge of science and culture, we should teach our students how to be a noble person in English class. Our English teaching can not be taught by English knowledge alone. Our moral education can not be a hollow education out of cultural knowledge. Only when we combine scientific and cultural knowledge with ideological and moral education, we can teach English knowledge, cultivate students’ English proficiency, Moral education implemented together with the teaching process, can we really complete the teaching tasks, to achieve the purpose of teaching and educating people.
