本文分析了埃德加.爱伦.坡的恐怖短篇小说的代表作———《厄舍古屋的坍塌》(以下简称《厄舍》)里的恐怖效果。死亡的恐怖、阴暗的恐怖和超自然的恐怖是爱伦.坡作品永远的主题,这也是他的作品最吸引人的特点。在《厄舍》中,爱伦.坡运用了场景布置、人物性格刻画、上演术等多种写作手法和一些艺术手法来加强它的恐怖效果。本文通过对这些写作手法的分析,从而深入、彻底地解释了这个作品的恐怖效果,使读者更好地感受到《厄舍》中的恐怖魅力。
This article analyzes the horrific effects of Edgar Ellen Poe’s masterpiece of the horror short story, “Collapse of the House of Usher” (hereinafter referred to as “Usher”). The horrors of death, dark terror and supernatural terror are the eternal themes of Allan Poe’s work, which is also the most appealing feature of his work. In Ursus, Ellen Poe employs the techniques of scene layout, character portrayal, staging, and other artistic techniques to reinforce its horror effects. Through the analysis of these writing techniques, this article deeply and thoroughly explains the horror effect of this work, and makes the reader feel better the horror charm in Urshe’s.
