踏入社会之前,多数大学生都面临着目标的选择,社会角色与个性意志,理想与现实,自我成熟感与自控能力之间的矛盾,加上在新的历史条件下日益激烈的竞争,许多大学生不得不承受巨大的心理压力,这种压力如果应对得不好,会对大学生的思想、学习、工作等方面产生不良影响,甚至成为能力发挥和身心健康的障碍。健康的心理状态和良好的心理素质是一个人全面发展所必须具备的条件和基础。大学生的心理健康状况对其学习能力、思想素质的提高以及人生价值的实现都有着至关重要的作用。世界卫生组织对健康的定义是:“健康不仅是没有身体的缺欠和疾病,还要有完整的生理、心理状态和社会适应能力。”因此,如何有效地缓解自身的心理压力,则成为21世纪大学生必须解决的重大人生课题。
