多媒体档案是指国家机关、社会组织以及个人在社会活动中直接形成的,具有保存价值的多媒体图像、影像、声音、文字等形式的记录资料。随着多媒体技术的发展和应用领域的拓展,新型的多媒体档案已成为档案资源体系中重要的组成部分。多媒体档案作为一种新型的档案资源,在经济建设中也将发挥越来越重要的作用,因此,对多媒体档案及其管理的研究也将是当今档案工作者面临的一项重要课题。
Multimedia archives refer to the recorded data of forms such as multimedia images, videos, sounds, words and other forms that are directly formed by state organs, social organizations and individuals in social activities. With the development of multimedia technology and application fields, new multimedia files have become an important part of the file resource system. As a new archival resource, multimedia archives will also play an increasingly important role in economic construction. Therefore, the research on multimedia archives and their management will also be an important issue for archivists.
