The concepts of western tragedy entering the context of modernism in the twentieth century have profoundly revolted and transformed the traditional view of tragedy and become independent and trendy literary trends with distinctive modern features. The change manifests itself mainly from the tragedy of external conflicts into the tragedy of internal philosophies with the theme of alienation, which brings positive and negative two-way effects to the change of tragedy view: on the one hand, the tragic consciousness is deepened from the outside to the inside, The sinking into the tragedy and the metaphysical discourse of metaphysics have created the spirit of modern tragedy. On the other hand, however, modern tragedies have also encountered the severe challenge of modern pessimism.
