The thickness of the transmission-mode photocathode directly affects its photoemision efficiencyand spectral response.In this paper,the relationships between the thickness and the optical absorptionof the photoeathode and the escape depth of photo-electrons are discussed,the optimum thickness of thetransmission-modo photocathode is theoretically analysed,and the method of monitoring and determiningthe optimum thickness is proposed. The thickness of the transmission-mode photocathode directly affects its photoemision efficiency and spectral response. This paper, the relationships between the thickness and the optical absorption of the photoeathode and the escape depth of photo-electrons are discussed, the optimum thickness of the transmission-modo photocathode is theoretically analyzed, and the method of monitoring and determining the optimum thickness is proposed.
