Professor Yoshino Amano of Japan’s National University of Communication and Telecommunications started a joint study with the Soviet Union and France through the creation and practical application of an earthquake prediction method using electromagnetic waves. This method estimates the occurrence and the epicenter of the most disgusting earthquake of this kind by measuring the electromagnetic waves emitted from deep underground and 2-3 hours before the moderate-scale inland trending earthquake. Using this method, in addition to predicting in advance the occurrence of the M6.3 direct type earthquake in the southwestern part of Ibaraki Prefecture in February 1983 and the epicenter of the epicenter, several high-profile projections have been made in Japan and in Europe, As an earthquake prediction method using electromagnetic waves, it has also caused great repercussions in the world.
