Macrobrachium nipponense is a major freshwater economic shrimp in China, and its artificial breeding industry is rapidly developing. However, due to the current breeding technology and technology is not perfect, can not meet the ecological requirements, yield per unit area is still very low. Therefore, the study of economic shrimp ecology, especially feeding ecology, is very important for giving full play to the nutritional role of feed, reducing the feed coefficient and raising the economic benefits of aquaculture. This article reports the results of some studies on the feeding ecology of Macrobrachium nipponense. Regarding the research on the ecology of economic shrimp feeding, Zhang Naiyu (1983) studied the food intake of shrimp with different body length and body weight. Grahama (1953) summarized the feeding mechanism of crustacean including feeding mode, assimilation efficiency
