The film “The Reader” is based on the adaptation of German writer Halt Schlinck’s novel “Somnambus”. The film presents the original theme and subtle emotions to the audience in a visual manner, bringing the soul to the modern people and inspiring the reflection on World War II and longing for peace in pursuit of human understanding and forgiveness.
