广播电视新闻学于2012年9月更名为广播电视学,这是一门培养具有广播电视新闻基础理论和广泛的文化知识,能够从事编辑、采访、节目主持人等台前幕后传媒人才的专业,但是广播电视新闻学现状不容乐观,一方面就业形势严峻,另一方面,广播电视新闻学陷入了何去何从举步维艰的境地,根据这种种困难,探寻出一条符合广播电视新闻学可持续发展的道路割不容缓。这条道路不仅要适合广播电视新闻学的发展,还要符合社会主义市场化的要求,满足社会主义文化建设的需求,要走出一条符合广播电视新闻学的可持续发展道路。
