龙门山处于我国腹心地带,地质构造复杂,矿产较为丰富,油气苗分布广泛,地震活动频繁,又是研究推覆体构造的典型地区。长期来广大地质工作者在生产、科研、教学中做了大量的工作,积累了丰富的资料,对龙门山地质构造提出了不同的认识。为推进龙门山地质研究,发展我国地质理论,更好地为经济建设服务,中国地质学会地质力学专业委员会会同四川省地质学会、石油学会、地震学会于1984年10月
Longmen Mountain is located in the heart of China’s Belt, complex geological structure, rich mineral resources, oil and gas distribution is widespread, frequent earthquakes, but also the study of the typical structure of the nappe structure. For a long time, the majority of geological workers have done a lot of work in production, scientific research and teaching, accumulated rich information and put forward different understandings on the Longmenshan geological structure. In order to promote the Longmenshan geological research, develop the geological theory of our country and better serve the economic construction, the Geomechanics Committee of China Geological Society, in conjunction with the Sichuan Geological Society, the Petroleum Society and the Seismological Society, in October 1984
