中学生爱动脑动手、好追问、善思索、求知欲高、好奇争胜心强,充分利用这种天性使之成为学习动力。我们在初中一年级开展了“地理信息收集”的活动,发动学生从报刊、新闻广播,电视等各种渠道收集有关与课本同步的地理最新信息,由师生共同筛选出与每次新课有关内容,让学生自己宣读或朗诵,教师再进行启发诱导,使之和地理学习紧密结合起来。例如讲非洲概述时,学生在新课前朗读的信息有“非洲国旗上的图案”、“青白尼罗河上的喀土穆”、“非洲连缓4年干旱,中国赠送苏月15000吨玉米”、“神奇的赤道雪山——乞力马扎罗山,山下炎热而山顶是一片冰雪世界,当地人称为光明之山”……,接着
