The famous Russian linguist Roman Jakobson once said: “Every message is made up of symbols.” In the primitive society, there was a symbol for communication and exchange between people, and after the constant development of society , The meaning of symbols has become more general. In modern society, people are not only interested in language, but more attracted by non-verbal symbols, such as visual graphics, sounds, body language (people) and works of art. This article mainly from the display design aspects, research non-language symbols in the display design. The texts, graphics, images, logos, colors and other elements of the display must be symbolized according to the needs of the theme. Any symbolic element must also be clearly and clearly pointed to the theme, and the two complement and reinforce each other. Non-linguistic symbols play a subtle role in the information dissemination of display design.
