OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics of virologia in 200 children with acute lower respiratory tract infection admitted to our hospital and routinely check the virus characteristics of the children, analyze the characteristics of virus in children with lower respiratory tract infection and provide basis for clinical diagnosis of similar diseases. METHODS: A total of 200 children with acute lower respiratory tract infection admitted to our hospital from January 2011 to 2013 were enrolled in this study. All children were enrolled in fasting morning for fasting venous blood and XK2100 biochip to screen their virus types. The test results were analyzed. Results: A total of 102 positive samples were obtained from 200 blood samples. The positive detection rate was 51.0%. Among them, 52 (26.00%) were adenovirus (ADV), 34 (17.00% ), Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in 10 cases (5.00%) and parainfluenza virus (PIV) in 6 cases (3.00%). The detection rate of male and female virus was not statistically significant (P> 0.05), while the positive detection rate of each age was statistically significant, of which 4 to 5-year-old children in the highest detection rate, the virus in different seasons of the total detection The rate was statistically significant (P <0.05), of which the highest detection rate in summer. CONCLUSIONS: The majority of viruses in children with lower respiratory tract infections are predominantly ADV and IV, and are characterized by age and seasonal distribution. The highest incidence is found in children aged 4 to 5 years, and the incidence mainly concentrates in summer.
