From January 14 to January 20, 1997, a delegation of 11 Vietnamese urban and rural planning delegations visited the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design. The delegation was led by Prof. Li Hongji, Director of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Director of the National Urban and Rural Planning Institute. The delegation includes senior staff of the Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Industry and the Bureau of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam. The Institute of Central Regulations organized some professional staff to brief the delegation on some of the planning projects undertaken by the institute, including the city’s overall planning, control detailed planning, urban design, and urban transport planning.
