In many years of teaching practice, I have found that students have difficulty feeling in reading comprehension. They always do not know where to start. In order to help students understand correctly the reading comprehension question type, I will summarize my understanding of the question type and the problem-solving skills from the teaching for many years as follows, hoping to help them. First, the characteristics and types of the topic-based training students’ reading comprehension is one of the main purposes of English teaching. The reading comprehension question type is an important part of the English exam question. In recent years, its difficulty has increased, which is embodied in the following aspects. 1. The vocabulary is large and the length is longer. Because the exam is an extensive reading, it is not intensive reading, but it is too short to achieve the purpose of the question. 2. Language is difficult. It is reflected in long sentences and complex structures. Even if there are no new words throughout, reading can not fully understand the meaning of the article. 3. On the topic setting, 40% of the questions are simple questions, and 60% of the questions are puzzles. 4. The genre has narratives, explanatory texts, applied texts, argumentative papers and diagrams. 5. Diversification of themes, involving science, society, culture, politics, and economy. Topics are divided into content categories, which can be divided into subject categories, detail categories, and inference categories. From the form points, they can be divided into complete sentences, answer questions, positive and false judgments, graph-reading, and blank-choosing.
