节理岩体的剪切强度由结构面和相邻完整岩块的剪切强度共同决定,当结构面完全连通时,岩体的剪切强度完全由结构面决定。蒙特卡罗法能够根据结构面几何参数模拟岩体结构面的空间分布,通过深度优先搜索算法可搜索到连通的结构面,相对岩体而言,连通的结构面的剪切强度最小,即为节理岩质边坡的潜在滑动面,通过极限平衡法可以对一系列滑面进行稳定性分析。该方法是对节理岩质边坡稳定分析的补充。
