There are several ways to improve the bearing capacity of dynamic pressure sliding bearings: (1) to increase the viscosity of lubricating oil; (2) to reduce the bearing clearance; (3) to increase the working speed; (4) to increase the bearing diameter and bearing length. When the mechanical structure and transmission have been identified, only the first two items can be changed, however, increasing the viscosity of the lubricating oil and reducing the bearing clearance will increase the working temperature of the bearing.
