楠竹(Phyllostachys Pubescens)根系是组成地下系统的主要营养器官。它不仅有吸收土壤水份和无机盐的作用,也有合成有机氮和有机磷供给植株代谢活动的功能。所以根系的生长发育直接影响生物产量的形成过程。我们于1979—1982年6月,对实生楠竹幼林根系进行了初步研究,结果如下。一、研究方法选择6—7年的实生幼林,在郁闭度0.4—0.5的林分中,设立定位观测地,进行观测和记载。生长测定:按不同年龄的竹鞭,分层挖掘土壤,保持根的自然状态,测量其垂直和水平分布。年生长周期的观测,采用定位调查法,每月15号在选定的林地内,挖开土壤,观察
