Misgurnusangillicaudatus is a family of pupa, meat or all medicine, and is contained in the Dictionary of Chinese Medicine. The folk use its mucus to cure bloated, otitis media, and treat the breast cancer, osteomyelitis etc. with live mud mash and external application. To determine its effective anti-inflammatory sites, the pharmacological effects of loach homogenates and muddy mucus on five anti-inflammatory experimental models were comparatively studied.
