现今,为加强国与国之间的文化交流,越来越多的国外电影作品涌入国内市场。作为促进文化交流与沟通的媒介,电影字幕翻译的精准与否、适合与否就显得尤为重要。西方国家无论是在电影业还是在电影字幕翻译的研究上都先于我国许多年。而我国在电影字幕翻译实践中,常常忽视了两国之间客观存在的文化差异,导致了我国的电影字幕翻译仍存在较多词不达意或是错译的现象。以影片《布达佩斯大饭店》的字幕翻译为例,笔者尝试通过德国的功能目的论来分析其在字幕翻译中的实用意义。
Nowadays, in order to strengthen cultural exchanges between countries, more and more foreign film works are pouring into the domestic market. As a medium for promoting cultural exchanges and communication, the accuracy and suitability of film subtitle translation is particularly important. Western countries have been ahead of our country for many years both in the film industry and in film subtitle translation studies. However, in the movie subtitle translation practice in China, the cultural differences between the two countries are often overlooked. This has led to the phenomenon that there are still many unreasonable or mistranslating Chinese movie subtitles. Taking the subtitle translation of the film “Budapest Grand Hotel” as an example, the author tries to analyze its practical significance in subtitle translation through the German Skopos Theory.
