江苏“掌心”里下河与众不同的水乡

里下河并不是一条河,而是一个区域,一片河湖纵横的水乡泽国,也是江苏地势最低洼的地区.rn对于江苏的地域划分有很多种,最简单的一种,便是以长江为界,江之南为苏南,江之北为苏北.作为苏北地区相对独立的地理单元,里下河地区的具体范围是苏北灌溉总渠以南,里运河以东,通扬运河以北,串场河(通榆运河)以西,地图上近似一个“口”字形.涉及扬州、泰州、淮安、盐城、南通等市,总面积约13500平方公里.
