工业机器人在工业生产中已得到越来越广泛的应用,而点焊就是主要的应用之一。要使工业机器人很好地做点焊工作,首先要解决许多技术问题。现以焊点的质量而言,一般说来:焊头要给工件施最佳的压力;随着选用不同的工件厚度,通过焊头的电流密度也应相应的选择;要有好的冷却系统;工件本身应保持干净;应能自动检测和自动排除焊头与工件粘结的故障。只有上述条件得到满足时,工业机器人点焊的焊点质量才能得到保证。
