高炉上下部调节的中心环节是控制炉料运动和煤气流的合理分布,其核心问题是保持适宜的进风状态,以求煤气流在炉缸起始分布就趋于合理;同时,辅之以上部调节,使煤气流分布沿高炉高度及其截面继续保持合理。在探讨适宜的进风状态中,采用了风口燃烧强度(24iF/nV)概念,这一新概念,引进了较以往更多的高炉特征数,从而为发展矮胖、多风口、适当小风口的炉型和在探求适宜进风状态与炉型特征数之间的关系方面,提供了一个新的研究方法。
