自从“华夏边缘论”及其相关见解出现后,对于如何重新检视传统中国民族史的研究方法与方法论,以及如何看待华夏这个概念便引发许多讨论。本文即希望透过中国历史上回—穆斯林人群与当代回族的例子,藉由其分布于华夏核心与边缘的特殊存在事实,及其与汉族共享文化的同质性和自身有别于汉文化的伊斯兰的异质性特色,企图与“华夏边缘论”中相关的核心概念开展出另一种异例的对话与研究模式。一方面来作为对于扩大并补充该论述的参考,同时也让回族的族群文化现象在中国民族史的研究领域中得到更多且重要的定位意义。
Since the advent of “The Edge Theory of Huaxia” and its related opinions, there have been many discussions on how to revisit the research methods and methodology of the traditional Chinese national history and how to treat Huaxia as a concept. This article hopes that through the history of Hui in China - Muslims and contemporary Hui people, by virtue of their special existence in the core and periphery of Huaxia, their homogeneity with the Han culture and their own differences from the Han culture Islamic heterogeneity in an attempt to develop another paradoxical mode of dialogue and research with the core concepts related to the “Theory of Margins in China”. On the one hand, it serves as a reference for enlarging and supplementing the exposition, at the same time, it makes the Hui ethnic group culture more and more important in the research field of Chinese national history.
