湖南省株洲市一医院始建于1953年5月,其前身为株洲镇卫生所。经过建院40余年,特别是改革开放20年的建设和发展,已成为株洲地区最大的一所集医疗、教学、科研、预防保健于一体的大型综合性医院。1987年获省文明医院称号;1997年5月被确认为湖南医科大学第四临床学院,同期通过卫生部“三甲”医院评审,并荣获湖南省卫生系统“四满意”竞赛活动先进单位;1997、1998年荣获株洲市双文明先进单位;1999年1月成为卫生部国际紧急救援中心网络医院,同年还荣获“全国百佳医院”,“全国卫生系统先进集体”二项殊荣,院长胡景铭同志被评为全国优秀院长。
Zhuzhou City Hospital of Hunan Province was founded in May 1953, and its predecessor was the Zhuzhou Town Health Institute. After the establishment of the hospital for more than 40 years, especially the 20 years of reform and opening up, it has become the largest large-scale comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive health care in Zhuzhou.
