虽然学者们讨论了下游企业知识对创新的作用,这个方向尚需系统深入的研究。本文以新颖性作为区分不同创新的基准,从两个维度表达创新的新颖性:是否开展于新领域;是否基于新知识。交叉两个维度,划分4种创新:类型1创新在熟悉领域运用成熟知识;类型2创新在熟悉领域运用新知识;类型3创新在新领域运用成熟知识;类型4创新在新领域运用新知识。基于美国汽车零部件供应商的专利构建实证研究,结果发现运用下游企业知识在类型3创新中最为重要,在类型1创新中与企业内部知识同等重要,而在类型2和类型4创新中对质量没有影响。
Although scholars discussed the role of downstream enterprise knowledge in innovation, this direction needs to be further studied systematically. In this paper, we use novelty as a benchmark to distinguish different innovations, and express the novelty of innovation in two dimensions: whether it is carried out in new fields and whether it is based on new knowledge. Crossing two dimensions and dividing into four types of innovation: Type 1 innovation Applying mature knowledge in familiar areas; Type 2 innovation Applying new knowledge in familiar areas; Type 3 innovations applying mature knowledge in new areas; Type 4 innovations Applying new knowledge in new areas. Based on the empirical research on the patent construction of US auto parts suppliers, the results show that the use of downstream enterprise knowledge is the most important in type 3 innovation, the type 1 innovation is equally important to the enterprise internal knowledge, while the type 2 and 4 innovations are of great importance to quality No effect.
