近几年来,我国渗硼工艺研究有很大进展,固体渗硼更为突出。当前许多模具、耐磨件、耐蚀件都应用渗硼工艺,经济效益相当显著。随渗硼工艺的扩大应用,渗硼的研究已逐步深入,并出现一些新的动向。固体渗硼,已先后研制出粉末渗硼剂和粒状渗硼剂,解决了渗剂的松散性问题,渗后工件表面光洁;渗硼温度已可降低到900~850℃,甚至更低。我国市场上先后出现4~5种固体渗硼剂商品,对促进渗硼工艺的推广起了积极作用。目前大多数固体渗硼,是以硼铁为供硼剂,氟硼酸钾为活化剂,成本比较高,价格贵,已引起各方面的重视。我们采用廉价的工业纯氟硅酸钾取代氟硼酸钾制出粒状渗硼剂,性能良好。用硼砂、硼酐等部分地取代硼铁、碳化硼作为供硼剂,有可能较大幅度地降低渗硼剂的成本。固体渗硼需要装箱加热,加热时间长、耗能多、渗剂消耗量大,增加渗硼的工艺成本。现在已开始研究直接在空气介质中加热的膏剂渗硼法。这种方法易实现局部渗硼,
