使用恒值线荧光屏有可能对显象管性能进行改进并能提高生产率。RCA恒值线荧光屏改变了荫罩的外形和使荧光屏边缘上的荧光粉条弯曲。这些变化降低了由于荫罩热膨胀所引起的电子束着屏误差,并给出了比较令人满意的荧光屏外形。为获得这些优点,荫罩孔的排列应具有可变的节距,并且把这种排列弯曲得与荧光屏外形相一致。在荧光屏涂敷和荫罩制造方面也已经利用这些设计的变革获得了一些进展。这些新特点已在本国的各种型号彩色显象管中推广应用,并已广泛运用于RCA为国际市场所设计的管型。
Using a constant line screen makes it possible to improve kinescope performance and increase productivity. RCA Constant Line Fluorescent screens change the shape of the shadow mask and bend the phosphor stripes on the edge of the screen. These changes reduce the electron beam landing error due to thermal expansion of the shadow mask and give a more satisfactory screen appearance. In order to obtain these advantages, the arrangement of the mask holes should have a variable pitch, and this arrangement should be curved to match the appearance of the screen. Some progress has also been made in utilizing these design changes in screen coating and shadow mask manufacturing. These new features have been in the country of various types of color CRT to promote the use and has been widely used in RCA designed for the international market tube.
