加拿大边境服务署(简称CBSA)自今年7月5日开始正式执行新的木质包装进口要求《有关国际贸易中木制包装材料的指导方针》(即国际植物检疫措施标准第15号)。根据此要求,木质包装材料必须采用加热或溴甲烷熏蒸等方式进行处理,并获取国际公认的国际植物保护协定(IPPC)标识后方可进入加拿大。不符合上述进口要求的木质包装将被拒绝入境,货物的进口方承担依照相关规定进行妥善处理的责任。
The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) has formally implemented the new import requirement for wood packaging since July 5, this year, “Guidelines for Wooden Packaging Materials in International Trade” (ie ISPM No. 15). According to this requirement, wood packaging materials must be treated by heating or methyl bromide fumigation, and access to internationally recognized International Plant Protection Protocol (IPPC) logo before entering Canada. Wood packaging that does not meet the above import requirements will be refused entry and the importer of the goods will assume the responsibility of proper handling in accordance with the relevant provisions.
